Even Aslan says it’s time to relax...

BETH THOMAS

RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST

Hey there Reader,

Well then, it has been quite the fortnight.

A speaker showcase in Birmingham.

A fully booked coffee morning in London.

A brunch to talk nerdy about psychometric tools in Nottingham.

A multidisciplinary training session in Shropshire on understanding autism and embracing neuro-inclusive practice.

Just over a thousand miles in two and a half weeks, fitted around my usual workload.

I’m going to take a moment to celebrate that, even if I’m slightly horrified by it at the same time.

And yet... boundaries month.

No, the irony hasn’t escaped me.

Which is exactly why I’m taking this weekend off to rest and reflect, and I’d love you to do the same.

Before I do, I wanted to offer something useful.

I have some free self-advocacy resources: templates and tools you can personalise and practice with.

They’re a gift from me, no strings attached.

The only catch- you'll need to email me with a 'yes please!' if you'd like them because I couldn't figure out how to embed a link to them in this email on time 😂

Self-advocacy isn’t always the easiest thing to sit with on your own.

If you open these and feel that familiar wobble — meet it with curiosity, not judgment.

And if it would feel better to explore this stuff with others who genuinely get it, there is real power in finding your people.

Curious Minds exists for exactly that reason.

Just saying. 🙂

And now, even Aslan has already come in to physically tell me it is time to stop — a few questions I’m sitting with this weekend, and I’d love to know your answers too:

What are you proud of doing recently?

What do you deserve to celebrate?

What did you find difficult that you got curious about instead of furious about?

Hit reply. I’d genuinely love to hear.

Have a brilliant weekend — enjoy the resources, let me know what you think, and keep your eyes peeled for some exciting things I’m working on.

Best and brightest love

Beth x

P.S. More good stuff coming soon. Watch this space.

BETH THOMAS RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST Hey there Reader, Almost a quarter of the way through 2026, and I genuinely don’t know where the time went. If you know where January and February disappeared to, please send them back. I have questions... But honestly? The speed of this year is part of why I wanted to write to you today. Because it’s so easy to just keep moving, keep doing, and never pause long enough to actually check in. Are you working in alignment with what matters to you? Or are you...

BETH THOMAS RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST Hey there Reader, We made it through another week! What are you celebrating about yourself today? Are you heading into a weekend you’re actually looking forward to? Are you working, resting, somewhere in between? Don’t forget the clocks are changing. Today I’m wrapping up our month of boundaries content — and if you’ve loved this theme, don’t worry, it’s not gone forever. I’ll be coming back to it. But I want to leave you with one final reminder on what...

BETH THOMAS RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST Hey there Reader, Can we just acknowledge how quickly the first quarter of the year has gone? Even for those of us who might be able to process time at the best of times, this year has started at a genuinely alarming pace. So — how are you all doing? Because this time of year does something interesting for a lot of the neurodivergent people I work with. Winter hits us hard. The short days, the relentless grey, the way emotional regulation just quietly...
